Case study

London Borough of Havering

BOM was commissioned by the LB of Havering to undertake four projects

 ParkMap Implementation and Static Map-based Traffic Orders

This involved a survey of all Static restrictions within the London Borough of Havering. These were mapped onto the Buchanan Computing ParkMap system and Map Schedules were produced to create a Consolidation Order.

Movement Traffic Order Review and Mapping

All of the London Borough of Havering’s Movement Orders were surveyed and then mapped onto the ParkMap system using the Buchanan Computing MovingOrdersMap module. Map Schedules were then produced to create a Consolidation Order.

Dropped Kerb Survey and Mapping

Surveyors mapped dropped kerb data into the London Borough of Havering’s ParkMap system. This included five colour-coded classifications:

  • Dropped kerbs present outside residential properties;

  • Dropped kerbs present outside commercial properties;

  • No dropped kerb present but vehicle(s) parked off-road;

  • No dropped kerb and no vehicle(s) present at time of survey, but evidence (such as a driveway) that vehicles might park off-road;

  • Dropped kerb present for pedestrian crossing.
